There are several types of traditional photo albums:

• Ring binders with cellophane
• Old paper\cardboard
• Weddings albums
• Sleeve albums

The great news is because we use a flatbed scanner we can handle them all! 🙂

Many times the creators of the photo albums stuck the photos firmly into them, and why not you don't want your precious memories falling all over the floor.

We don't worry about feeding individual photos into a machine, but we can rest a whole page onto the scanner surface, then we seperate each photo out, removing any border from the photo.

For paper-cardboard based albums the creators nearly always used both sides of a page, making removing stuck photos difficult, scanning on a flatbed scanner makes this job much easier.

Sometimes photos are not straight on the page, this might cause some minor issues, however we do our best to produce straight images

Ring binders with cellophane

When scanning these albums it is prefered to remove the cellophane as this can cause reflections on the image.
The cellophane does not stick to the actual photo.
Lifting the cellophane may slightly damaged the paper sheet and it might not go back as it was exactly was. We do our best to minimise any issues.

Old paper\cardboard

Photos in these types of albums are mostly held in place with mounting corners, but sometimes the photos are glued. When the photos are held in place with mounting corners they can become loose, if the photos are loose they will scanned seperately. If the photos are glued the page will be scanned and each photo will be separated including removing any borders.

Weddings albums

Most wedding albums can be taken to pieces, this makes the process easier.

Most photos are approximately A4 size and are charged at Eur 1 each.

We are happy to take these albums apart and put back together again.

Sleeve albums

With these albums the photos are easily taken out.
